Structural Fitter/Welder - Build Your Future in Steel!

Are you looking for a job with purpose and a change of pace? Staffmark is hiring an experienced Structural Fitter/Welder in Broussard, LA. If you have at least 3 years of experience and are ready to take the next step in your career, apply today!

Pay: $21-$23 per hour (Based on experience)

Day Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday (6 AM - 6 PM) + Fridays (6 AM - 4:30 PM)

Night Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday (6 PM - 6 AM) + Fridays (4:30 PM - 3 AM)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED


• Certified MIG welder


• 2 years of MIG/TIG welding experience or 3 years of structural fitter experience (Depending on department worked)


• The ability to read blueprints accurately


• Steel-toes

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, bend, or walk for long periods while being able to lift 50 pounds if needed.

Structural Fitter/Welder Responsibilities: This position will read and follow blueprints and layout specifications, align parts or workpieces with preparing for proper assembly, and position, aligning, fitting, and weld parts to complete units. Safely weld, grind, and finish girders or structural components. Calibrate welding tools, interpret blueprints, and prepare girders by meticulously cleaning and polishing them before welding. The candidate will utilize fabricating machines to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, form components, and lift components using cranes or other lifting equipment.
