Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Structural Associate Engineering Technician - Overhead Transmission to support design, analysis, and detailing of structural components for overhead transmission lines in a multidisciplinary team.

You will use AutoCAD, MicroStation, and PLS-CADD to create and modify structural models, drawings, and details under supervision, with opportunities for mentorship and growth in a flexible, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering teams under general supervision.
• Performs technical tasks requiring intermediate knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling).
• Creates, updates, and maintains technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
• Begins providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering technicians.
• Stay current on applicable standards, systems, document control practices, BV policies and procedures.
