Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to lead engineering across complex infrastructure projects. You will provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with owners, consultants, and project teams to deliver safe, buildable designs at construction pace.

Ideal candidates have 8–15 years of structural/transportation experience, a Texas PE, and a track record in contractor or design-build environments.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of structural engineering experience focused on transportation infrastructure.
• Texas PE licensure (or ability to obtain) required.
• Experience in contractor/design-build environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT standards and procedures (TxDOT or similar).
• Proficiency with major structural engineering tools (see tools list).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of structural solutions across projects (bridges, waterworks, foundations).
• Prepare and seal drawings, calculations, and specifications per standards.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for constructability and quality.
• Ensure designs meet schedule, cost, and site constraints.
• Mentor engineers and advance technical capability within the organization.
• Interface with clients, owners and regulators to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Support estimating and business development with constructability input and ABC concepts.
• Manage external subconsultants and ensure deliverables quality.
