Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to assist in designing and detailing structural systems across diverse facilities, including industrial and multi-family projects. You will support load calculations, gravity and lateral analyses, and prepare structural details and connections.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's of Engineering program or related field of study.
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify structural systems including load calculations, gravity and lateral system analysis, structural details, and connections for various projects.
• Assist our multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver projects.
• Join projects with other engineering and modeling staff to deliver comprehensive structural design packages.
• Assist in the development of industry-leading automated design methods and tools as part of a forward-thinking, innovation-focused team of engineers and R&D staff.
• Work with our fabrication modeling team to facilitate successful project execution.
• Provide value engineering reviews and alternate design options to maximize cost savings, optimize lead times, and better execute projects.

AME Engineering is currently looking for a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team. The Structural Engineering Intern will be responsible for helping develop the structural system design in support of design/build projects including Industrial, Self-storage, Controlled Environments, Entertainment, Multi-Family, and other types of facilities.

A Day In The Life

• Design and specify structural systems including load calculations, gravity and lateral system analysis, structural details, and connections for various projects
• Assist our multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver projects
• Join projects with other engineering and modeling staff to deliver comprehensive structural design packages
• Assist in the development of industry-leading automated design methods and tools as part of a forward-thinking, innovation-focused team of engineers and R&D staff
• Work with our fabrication modeling team to facilitate successful project execution
• Provide value engineering reviews and alternate design options to maximize cost savings, optimize lead times, and better execute projects
• Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

Necessary Qualifications
