Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Bothell, WA office. The role includes supporting design and development of plans, drafting tasks in CAD, and assisting engineers with structures plan production.

Applicants should be pursuing a civil engineering degree with ABET accreditation and have completed 60 hours toward the degree. Knowledge of AutoCAD and FEM software is preferred, with strong math skills expected.

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited civil engineering program with a structural emphasis; at least 60 hours completed.
• Must be available for Summer 2027 internship and progress toward degree is expected.

Your Role

• Assist engineers with Structures plan production tasks
• Provide administrative and operations support to Engineering staff

About You

• EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate'S or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION:
  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree with a structural emphasis from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Math skills to perform calculations; willingness to learn.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and FEM software (preferred).

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
