Job summary

Steel King Industries, Inc. is seeking a motivated Structural Engineering Intern to support design and drafting for sales quotes and proposals, review drawings for compliance with SKII standards, and assist with load testing, data analysis, and engineering calculations.

The role provides hands-on experience for students pursuing civil or structural engineering, with mentorship from the Director of Engineering and collaboration with engineers and designers across projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil engineering, Structural engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineer of Record with preparing structural engineering calculations using spreadsheets or CAD software.
• Prepare engineering drawings and bills of materials for quotes/proposals.
• Review drawings to ensure standards per SKII guidelines for quoting/manufacturing.
