BakerEngineering and Risk Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineering Co-op for its San Antonio and Houston offices.

This eight-month program offers hands-on experience supporting project managers, performing calculations, reviewing designs, and assisting with blast-resistant structural concepts. We welcome students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil-Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited) with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are rising juniors or seniors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Civil-Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Active enrollment as rising junior or senior in ABET-accredited curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers and technical staff with project work and business development tasks.
• Perform routine structural engineering calculations, review documents, and prepare presentations and reports.
• Support design and review of structures using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, or wood.
• Contribute to hazard analysis, design development, and testing activities.
• Receive on-the-job training and follow defined procedures for routine decisions.
