Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of multifamily wood-framed buildings ensuring structural integrity and compliance with codes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, and construction managers to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Utilize engineering software and tools for structural modeling, analysis, and documentation while adhering to project timelines and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and team members, enhancing overall team competence and project delivery efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and codes to ensure innovative and compliant designs.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering strongly preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in structural building design, with specific expertise in multifamily wood-framed buildings.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) certification mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter and eager to take on responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong fundamental skills in problem-solving, analysis, and project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Revit for drawing and modeling is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of leading projects from conception through completion with minimal supervision.
- Deep understanding of national and local building codes related to wood-framed construction.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge in the use of structural engineering software like AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
