Job summary

Vaxa Steelworks in New York, NY seeks a highly skilled Structural Engineer to design, plan, and oversee construction of structural steel projects. You will develop detailed plans, analyze steel components, and ensure safety and compliance across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will have a Civil/Structural degree, 5+ years in steel structures, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, and SAP2000. PE license is preferred and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in structural engineering, focus on steel.
• Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools (STAAD, SAP2000).
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural steel components for construction projects.
• Develop detailed drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Perform structural calculations to ensure safety and stability.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project managers.
