Job summary

Employ Global is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer for an initial contract across Illinois and Wisconsin, with potential to become permanent.

You will design steel and concrete structures, prepare analyses and reports, review drawings, and coordinate with civil, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical disciplines.

An Illinois SE license and Wisconsin licensure, 5+ years of progressive experience in industrial facilities or infrastructure, and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Structural Engineer (SE) license and Wisconsin professional licensure for the proposed scope.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least five years of progressive structural engineering experience in industrial facilities, buildings or infrastructure.
• Strong experience designing steel and concrete structures and foundations.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS or S-Frame.
• Confidence reviewing and marking up AutoCAD or Revit drawings and models.
• Sound engineering judgment, clear communication and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• A valid driver's license and availability for project-related travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Designing steel and concrete structures, foundations, equipment supports and modifications to existing facilities.
• Preparing structural analyses, calculations, design criteria, specifications and engineering reports.
• Authenticating engineering deliverables within your professional authority and assigned scope.
• Reviewing drawings and models for accuracy, constructability and consistency with design intent.
• Coordinating structural requirements with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
• Guiding junior engineers and structural designers.
• Supporting site reviews, responding to construction queries and assessing proposed field changes.
• Managing assigned deliverables, communicating progress and identifying technical risks early.
