Job summary

gpac seeks a talented Structural Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will perform on-site evaluations of residential and commercial structures and design, plan, and oversee construction projects to ensure safety and durability.

You will develop designs using AutoCAD Civil3D, coordinate with architects, surveyors, and contractors, and monitor progress from concept to completion while balancing budgets and environmental considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in related engineering field.
• EIT or PE certification required.
• Strong understanding of stormwater design, grading, and utility layouts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Develop design ideas using AutoCAD 3D, considering client requirements and environmental impacts.
• Ensure designs are robust, efficient, and meet safety and sustainability standards.
• Conduct site investigations to gather data for planning and design.
• Address erosion control to minimize environmental impact.
• Develop detailed site development designs including drainage and shoring.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings and present complex concepts clearly to clients.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Monitor project progress from concept to completion according to design and specs.
• Stay up-to-date with latest engineering developments and apply them to work.
