Structural Engineer SE

The position is responsible for engineering and design activities related to the assigned functional area, such as analysis, design, and project management, under the guidance of higher-level engineers, leads, supervisors, or managers. The engineer will collaborate with higher-level engineers to complete projects supporting our customer, and may also work with internal engineers, designers, project staff, and client engineers and designers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate work activities within the team to complete structural projects.
Provide training and guidance to lower-level employees.
Utilize software to design substation structures and foundations.
Review design documentation and project plans for compliance.
Work with electrical designers to develop structural scopes and estimates.
Review structural drawings and project documents for adherence to codes and standards.
Recommend improvements to designs and documents.
Create material requisitions and coordinate with fabricators for timely delivery.
Coordinate with team members to complete project submittals.
Function as a project lead for structural projects.
Initiate corrective actions when project objectives are not met.
Interpret applicable codes and regulations.
SE License is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00/hr.
