A professional engineering services firm is seeking an Engineer-In-Charge responsible for managing investigations involving residential, commercial, and industrial structures. The ideal candidate will be licensed with an Illinois Structural license and have over 7 years of engineering experience. This hybrid role requires physical presence in the Chicago area and involves travel for site evaluations, along with producing forensic analysis reports within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional engineer with an Illinois Structural license (SE).
• 7+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably with residential or commercial properties.
• Ability to travel for work, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and conduct investigations of buildings and structures.
• Conduct onsite investigations and gather field data.
• Prepare and issue forensic reports within ten business days.
