Position Overview: ERA seeks a motivated Precast Structural Engineer who is interested in growing a rewarding career. As a Precast Structural Engineer, you will be responsible to work with a variety of clients including architects, owners, and contractors to create structural designs and construction documents within a team setting. You will coordinate with project partners and assist with executing the structural design.
Base pay range
$81,000.00/yr - $103,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
- Design & Project Coordination
- Perform structural analysis and design of buildings using concrete, steel, timber, and other materials.
- Oversee and coordinate project milestones, ensuring the client and internal teams are aligned on deliverables.
- Attend internal kickoff meetings and external coordination meetings.
- Develop designs for structural systems and project specifications.
- Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines.
- Documentation and Quality Assurance
- Maintain project documentation, ensuring all deliverables—calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports—are accurate and up-to-date.
- Review and approve internal design documents, drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with project scope, quality standards, and internal procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule internal quality reviews and ensure project deliverables undergo comprehensive interdisciplinary coordination.
- Communicate any discrepancies or scope changes to the Project Manager to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Construction Support
- Evaluate special inspection reports and address deviations from design documents.
- Oversee the review of shop drawings and submittals, ensuring timely responses and coordination with the construction team.
- Support construction partners in resolving field issues, ensuring that they are efficiently and accurately addressed to avoid project delays.
- Administrative & Client Facing Duties
- Read and interpret project proposals to understand scope, schedule and budget, and engage with clients to confirm expectations are aligned.
- Work with the Project Manager and other team members to align engineering tasks with budgeted hours and project priorities.
- Engage in legacy knowledge transfer to ensure continuity of client relationships.
- Help ensure repeat business by understanding and delivering on client values.
Hours
- Full Time - Exempt
- In – Person Core Office Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm Monday- Thursday
- Friday Flex – 9:00am-12:00pm
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, at ABET accredited University
- PE Licensed
- 5-7 years’ experience in structural engineering minimum of 5 years of precast concrete specialty design experience
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, while working with a team to deliver high quality of work
- Proficient with structural engineering software, such as RAM, RISA3-D, and SAP2000
- Experienced in steel, concrete, and other material design
