Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a qualified structural engineer for immediate employment in Anchorage, Alaska. The role focuses on foundations, building systems, and secondary support steel for power generation projects. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical design groups to produce highly coordinated designs for new plants and upgrades.

Requires ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering BS and at least 3 years of experience. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• Strong 3D modeling and design coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design foundations, building systems, and secondary support steel for power facilities.
• Develop PEMB bid packages and equipment anchoring details.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical design groups to ensure integrated layouts.
• Assist construction management and on-site coordination.
