Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking an experienced structural engineer to develop drawings, specifications, and calculations through design phases with close supervision. You will help model structures and coordinate with engineers, modelers, detailers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality 2D/3D designs and support construction administration activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in structural engineering, 4+ years of relevant experience, and a PE license (NCEES maintenance preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural focus.
• 4+ years of experience in structural engineering.
• PE license required; NCEES licensure maintenance preferred.
• Experience with CAD tools and structural design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing drawings, specifications, and calculations during the design phase.
• Develop structural designs and analytical models for various building types.
• Support construction administration: review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, conduct site visits.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures.
• Participate in coordination meetings to resolve design issues.
• Pursue professional development and suggest process improvements.
