Job summary

Anchor Engineering, Inc. in Phoenix seeks an experienced Structural Engineer (P.E.) to lead design on a growing market presence.

This role offers ownership of projects, technical leadership, and direct client engagement as we expand into the Phoenix area. You will work on a range of projects, contribute to both technical design and project execution, and help grow the local team through mentoring and strong collaboration with project managers, architects and partners.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of structural engineering experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Active P.E. or S.E. license; Arizona licensure or ability to obtain.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in growing presence in a new market.

Anchor Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (P.E.) to support our expansion into the Phoenix market. This position is ideal for engineers interested in taking on increased project ownership, technical leadership, and client-facing responsibilities while helping establish and grow our presence in the region.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects while contributing to both technical design and project execution, with a clear path toward leading projects and shaping our local team.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review structural calculations, plans, and specifications
• Analyze structural systems and evaluate design alternatives
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and internal standards
• Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, and external partners
• Support development of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
• Contribute to project coordination, scheduling, and client communication

Role Scope (Varies by Experience)

Mid-Level / Project Engineer

• Contributes to design, coordination, and documentation
• Supports project delivery with guidance from senior staff
• Begins mentoring junior team members
• Assists with project management tasks
• Leads structural design with minimal oversight
• Takes ownership of project execution, schedules, and deliverables
• Stamps smaller projects and technical reports
• Directs and mentors staff
• Serves as a key client and partner contact
• Contributes to proposals and business development
• Plays a key role in supporting local market growth and client relationships
