Job summary

Anchor Engineering, Inc. in Phoenix seeks an experienced Structural Engineer (P.E.) to lead design on a growing market presence.

This role offers ownership of projects, technical leadership, and direct client engagement as we expand into the Phoenix area. You will work on a range of projects, contribute to both technical design and project execution, and help grow the local team through mentoring and strong collaboration with project managers, architects and partners.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of structural engineering experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Active P.E. or S.E. license; Arizona licensure or ability to obtain.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in growing presence in a new market.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Analyze structural systems and evaluate design alternatives.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and internal standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, and external partners.
• Support development of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Contribute to project coordination, scheduling, and client communication.
