Job summary

Jobtailor is offering a 12-week paid summer internship in Hartford, CT, focused on vertical structural design and building projects. You will gain hands-on experience assisting with design, permit prep, and field visits in a collaborative team.

The role requires pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, a 3.0 GPA, and proficiency in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Synchro is a plus. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Synchro is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Successful criminal background check required.
• Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
• Participation in the Federal e-Verify program.

Responsibilities

• Help work on various projects predominantly focused on vertical structural design.
• Assist with building design.
• Assist with the preparation of local and state permit applications.
• Conduct field visits.
• Provide construction administration and support.
• Utilize design-related computer programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Synchro.
• Participate in a 12-week paid summer internship with in-depth work experience on real client projects in a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Work full-time Monday through Friday.
