Job summary

Parsons is seeking a highly motivated 2027 Structural Summer Intern to join our Federal Solutions team. Under supervision you will assist a registered structural engineer with basic to moderate design, drafting and calculations, gaining hands-on experience in real projects.

You should be enrolled in Civil/Structural engineering and have completed 3+ years of study, with coursework in structural analysis and design; familiarity with Revit/BIM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Fundamental technical knowledge in structural engineering.
• Must be enrolled in Civil/Structural Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university.
• Courses include structural analysis and design in concrete, steel, masonry and wood.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing reports, calculations, and drawings under supervision.
• Perform basic to moderate engineering support assignments under the direction of a registered structural engineer.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented 2027 Structural Summer Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of basic to moderately difficult assignments under the direction of a degreed engineer.

What You'll Be Doing:

Under the direction of a registered structural engineer, performs a variety of basic to moderate engineering support assignments requiring a fundamental knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques in Structural Engineering. The incumbent at this level typically takes engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, structural calculations, etc., and formalizes them into report, structural calculations, and structural drawings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Fundamental technical knowledge in structural engineering and have completed typically 3+ years of studies. Incumbent must be enrolled in Civil/Structural Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university.

The courses include but limited to, structural analysis, structural design in concrete, steel, masonry and wood.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Perform structural engineering calculations per building codes and create drawing with Revit/BIM.

Applicants must be US citizen and subject to a background investigation.

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
