STRUCTURAL ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING (SEIT) Hybrid Role
Job Description:
Position: STRUCTURAL ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING (SEIT)
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Salary: Based on experience
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote

Specific Responsibilities:
- Analyze and design structures according to current codes, criteria, and structural mechanics.
- Design permanent structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE walls, etc.
- Design temporary structures, including but not limited to:
- Formwork/Falsework Design
- Erection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift Planning
- Support of Excavation Systems
- Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
- Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
- Fall Protection Systems
- Barge Analysis
- Provide on-site design engineering support and inspections.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to resolve issues.
- Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree or higher in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred).
- GPA above 3.0 is highly preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with permanent and temporary structures, construction engineering, or construction labor is a plus.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or ability to pass within the first year.
- Strong understanding of constructability and structural engineering principles.
- Experience with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, SkyCiv, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Team player with a drive to succeed.
