ATS Engineers, Inspectors, & Surveyors in Austin, TX is seeking a Structural EIT to support residential and light commercial projects across Central Texas. You will grow as a structural engineer while collaborating with seasoned engineers and drafters on foundations, framing, and related elements.

The role emphasizes multi-project coordination, strong communication, and the use of design tools like RISA, EnerCalc, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; structural focus a plus.
• Master’s degree or EIT certification in Texas is a plus.
• Experience with building structures, wood/steel framing, and concrete foundation design is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with supervisors and project teams.
• Experience with RISA, EnerCalc, Excel or similar design tools is preferred.

ATS is seeking a Structural EIT in our Austin, TX office to support residential and light commercial projects throughout Central Texas.

The successful candidate will be interested in growing as a structural engineer while working alongside experienced engineers and drafters. This role supports projects including single-family homes, townhouses, light commercial buildings, tenant finish‑outs, foundations, framing and related structural elements.

Job Activities Include

• Structural analysis and design for residential and light commercial projects
• Foundation, framing and structural element design
• Preparation of calculations, design documents and engineering support materials
• Coordination with engineers, drafters, clients and project stakeholders
• Support for multiple projects while meeting deadlines and client expectations

Specific Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an Accredited University. Engineering with a structural focus a plus.
• Master’s degree or E.I.T. certification in Texas is a plus
• Experience with building structures, wood or steel framing, and concrete foundation design is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with supervisors and project teams
• Experience with RISA, Enercalc, Excel or similar design tools is preferred
