Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Structural Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to join its Structural Engineering team in either the Austin, TX or Cypress, TX office. The position provides exposure to a wide range of buildings and materials and supports a path toward PE licensure.

You will assist project managers with calculations, modeling, drafting revisions, and coordinating with architects. Candidates should hold an ABET-accredited degree, be an EIT, and demonstrate strong communication

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in structural/civil/architectural engineering.
• EIT required.
• 2+ years of professional building structural engineering experience preferred.
• Fundamentals of structural analysis and design.
• Knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Project Engineers in the design and delivery of structural projects.
• Assist with structural calculations and analysis.
• Perform computer modeling and generate drawings.
• Review and coordinate construction documents.
• Respond to RFIs and processing observations of construction.
• Support construction administration activities.
