Position Summary:

This role will provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. Responsibilities include leading engineering analysis, calculations, design, development of plans and specifications, and preparing or reviewing reports and calculation packages.

Job Description

Review drawings and construction documents for compliance, research and resolve design issues, and communicate complex engineering concepts to clients and teams. Services may involve public works, commercial, entertainment, energy, or industrial projects.

Structural Engineer III Responsibilities:

• Perform structural engineering tasks.
• Sign and seal professional engineering documents.
• Support business development and client relationships.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate project activities.
• Work independently and mentor colleagues.

Skills/Qualifications

• PE licensure or eligibility within 6 months.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and structural design codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI).
• Experience with structural software (SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, RISA, AutoCAD, REVIT).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to develop relationships and manage projects.
• Proficiency in Excel and mathematical software (Mathcad).
• Ability to interpret contract documents and communicate effectively with clients and architects.
• Knowledge of construction practices.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a practicing Structural Engineer preferred.
• PE license or eligibility within 6 months.

Location and Travel

• Hybrid remote position in Orlando, FL, with 1 office day per week.
• Up to 50% travel may be required.
