Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Structural Engineer to perform analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures. You will assist in model and drawing development, ensure compliance with regulations, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines on various projects.

The role requires a Civil/Structural/Egnineering background with about 1 year of related experience and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and other basic structures.
• Assist in development of models, drawings, and specifications.
• Review designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Apply firm policies and practices on all designs.
• Assist in structural condition assessment and confined space entries.
• Contribute to firm’s technical knowledge by developing papers and documentation.
• Submit papers and designs for publication in technical journals.
• Perform other duties as required.
• May work with a team to create conference posters or presentations.
