Sierra Pacific Industries in Anderson, California, is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our Fabrication Shop team. Design structures and foundations for sawmill equipment and buildings; develop lumber processing equipment; prepare drawings and calculations for approvals; model concepts in 3D; lead fabricators and shop personnel.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Structural-focused Civil/Architectural Engineering, 4 years' structural experience with wood/steel/concrete,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Structural-focused Architectural or Civil Engineering.
• 4 years' structural experience with wood, steel, masonry and concrete buildings including calculations, foundation design and construction administration.
• California P.E. or S.E. license or ability to reciprocity in Oregon/Washington.
• Experience with AutoCAD; willingness to learn SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of California Building Code, IBC, and ASCE 7.
• Familiarity with structural steel, welding, and foundation design.
• Strong Excel skills; good communication and organization.

Responsabilidades

• Design structures and foundations for sawmill, kiln, cogeneration, and planermill equipment and buildings.
• Develop and improve lumber processing equipment.
• Prepare plans, drawings, and calculations for approvals by authorities.
• Lead and direct fabricators, assemblers, machinists, and shop personnel.
• Model concepts and designs using 3D software; collaborate with operations.
