Job summary

Trachte Building Systems is seeking a Structural Engineer to prepare project drawings and BOMs for the Fire Facilities unit. You will collaborate with customers, architects, and permitting bodies to ensure designs meet requirements and customer needs while complying with local regulations.

You will lead complex projects from pre-construction through permitting, push for design improvements, and produce accurate material lists and instructions to minimize site issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural or architectural engineering.
• 1–3 years of drafting/detailing experience; internships may count.
• Eligibility for PE and/or SE license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to develop designs meeting codes and customer needs.
• Manage complex design projects from pre-construction through permitting.
• Perform value engineering to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions.
• Lead design reviews and communicate requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop processes to produce accurate material lists for each project.
• Deliver complete documents and instructions to minimize on-site issues.
• Coordinate with purchasing to place orders and resolve delivery issues.
• Stay current with design trends, codes, and materials.
• Suggest process and design improvements to increase satisfaction and efficiency.
