Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Structural Engineer in Portland, Oregon to join our team. You will work on exterior/interior framing, ceilings, and load-bearing systems, coordinating with design teams and field crews.

Requirements include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and at least 2 years of design experience, with familiarity in cold-formed steel framing. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering design.
• Prior knowledge or work experience with cold formed steel framing.
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to use independent judgement, problem-solving ability, self-starting, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Work on exterior and interior framing, ceilings, load bearing strut.
• Communicate with internal and external team members; attend project meetings.
• Prepare drawings for shop drawing submittals and work with BIM/drafting team.
• Prepare calculation packages for submission to project design team and local jurisdictions.
• Participate in bid reviews and estimating new projects.
• Act as liaison with Architect of Record or Engineer of Record.
• Monitor and inspect work to verify conformance with drawings.
• Support field operations and translate structural drawings for field teams.
