Job summary

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. in Sacramento, CA seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to join the Critical Infrastructure Solutions team.

You will perform structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, support project teams, and prepare reports and CAD drawings. Applicants should hold an MS in civil/structural engineering (ABET-accredited), have 2–5 years’ experience, EIT, and proficiency with IBC/ASCE/ACI/AISC codes and FE tools (ANSYS, ABAQUS, SAP2000).

Qualifications

• MS in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• EIT certification.
• Experience with codes and standards: IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC.
• Demonstrated use of hand calculations or structural analysis software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Coursework in solid mechanics, steel, concrete, seismic design, advanced structural analysis, vibrations or structural dynamics; proficiency with FE software.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures using hand methods or FE software.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations; document calculations.
• Prepare CAD drawings and sketches; review drawings and calculations.
• Execute structural tasks of moderate complexity and plan small-to-moderate projects.
• Assist in maintaining positive client relationships; follow safety and quality control policies.
