Job summary

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a structural engineer to manage the structural portion of assigned projects, including schedules, design costs, and construction cost limitations.

You will create field investigations of existing facilities before redesign or modifications and prepare structural design drawings using CADD tools. The role requires preparing correspondence with higher authorities and contractors, participating in predesign conferences to set design criteria

Qualifications

Degree in engineering with ABET accreditation.
1 year of specialized experience designing structural features for vertical construction projects.
Experience coordinating the structural portion of projects, including scopes of work and design costs.

Responsibilities

Manage structural portion of assigned projects including completion schedules and construction cost limitations.
Create field investigations of existing facilities prior to redesign or modifications.
Prepare structural design drawings and details using CADD programs.
Prepare correspondence between office and higher authority or contractors.
Participate in predesign conferences to determine design criteria for proposed constructions.
