Kleinfelder's Hunt Valley office is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering structural design for bridges, culverts, and related transport infrastructure. You will work with project managers and engineers to develop calculations, load ratings, and specs, including field inspections across varied sites.

The role requires a BS in an ABET-accredited program, 0–5 years of design experience, and a commitment to obtain EIT in year one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET accredited engineering program.
• 0-5 years of design experience in structural engineering; internship or coursework considered.
• Aim to obtain EIT certification in the first year.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Willing to perform field inspections of transportation structures.

Responsabilités

• Develop design plans for transportation structures and related bridges/culverts.
• Utilize CADD and engineering software to create detailed design plans and drawings.
• Prepare structural design calculations per standards and client preferences.
• Perform structural analysis on new and existing structures using specialized software; prepare cost estimates and specifications.
• Participate in field inspections of structures adjacent to roadways and water.
