Dewberry is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to work in Eastern, Central, or Western PA locations. This position offers professional growth, a great working environment, and the opportunity to apply the latest technology to help clients solve challenging problems.

The successful candidate will design simple and complex bridges and other transportation‑related structures. They will also develop proposals, contract plans, engineer’s estimates, construction specifications, and perform construction support services.

Responsibilities

• Perform structure‑related design for transportation projects.
• Assign tasks to and coordinate with entry‑level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
• Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferred).
• 5 to 10 years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required (PE preferred).
• Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A desire to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in the use of PennDOT's structural design software and other industry‑standard structural software.
• Experience with structure‑related design for transportation projects including:
• Bridges
• Retaining walls
• Culverts
• Sign structures
• Contract plans
• Engineer's estimates
• Construction specifications
• Shop drawing review
• Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
