Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Structural Engineer with specialized experience in aviation projects, particularly within airport environments. This engineer will play a pivotal role in the design management and implementation for various airport facilities and infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Designing and analyzing structural systems for airport terminals, hangars, control towers, runway structures, bridges, and other aviation-related facilities.
2. The ideal candidate will have experience in design management, including overseeing design consulting teams, developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
3. Conducting structural assessments, feasibility studies, and providing recommendations based on industry standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Periodic reporting and project updates/findings and presentation to the senior staff.
5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
6. Managing design consultants to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines.
7. Coordinating with stakeholders including airport authorities, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
8. Developing project specifications, drawings, and construction documents in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
9. Performing structural calculations, simulations, and analyses using software tools and manual methods as required.
10. Participating in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to discuss project requirements, progress, and approvals.
11. Providing technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
12. Familiarity with airport safety and security standards, FAA grants, and related regulatory requirements is highly desirable.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, with eligibility to obtain licensure in TX.
3. 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on aviation or airport projects.
4. Proficiency in structural analysis.
5. Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, IBC) as they apply to aviation structures.
6. Experience with BIM software is advantageous.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
9. Project Management experience.

Salary Range:

$70,500.00 - $145,800.00
