AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer II to join our team in Orange, CA (hybrid). You will perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role offers growth within a global infrastructure leader and opportunities across entertainment, government and more. You should have a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET) with 2 years of experience; an MS and Engineer in Training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited university or related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design across projects.
• Prepare contract documents and coordinate with design teams.
• Provide construction administration support and site field involvement.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and lead smaller design projects.

• Team up with seasoned engineers on large projects, while also taking the reins on smaller structural design projects.

Your daily adventures will include:

• Flexing your mental muscles with structural analysis and design.
• Playing matchmaker between different design disciplines and preparing contract documents.
• Donning your hard hat for some hands‑on construction administration.
• Channeling your inner Shakespeare to craft compelling structural reports, assessments, and studies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering from and ABET accredited university or related field
• 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• US Citizenship required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Master of Science (with structural engineering concentration)
• Engineer in Training Certification
• Demonstrated experience applying all major structural design codes.
• Demonstrated experience using 3‑D structural analysis software. (examples include ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, and SAFE)
• Experience designing in Steel, Concrete, Masonry, and Timber (CLT)
• Experience with Wind and Seismic lateral design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Demonstrated experience in use of REVIT/AutoCAD to provide production support as a portion of team support and development
• Experience with performance‑based design
• Experience with ASCE 41 for retrofit of existing structures

Additional Information

• Hybrid work environment - Fully remote position not available.
• Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $68,786.88 - $89,581.96.
