Job summary

KPFF Special Projects Group is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer (0-3 years) to grow in Tacoma, WA. You will work on civil, industrial, port, and waterfront infrastructure projects, gaining design and project management skills in a supportive team.

You will collaborate with engineers on diverse projects, develop problem-solving capabilities, and build client service excellence. Hybrid work is available and professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Master’s degree in civil engineering (structural focused).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Willingness to work on a variety of projects.
  • Concrete, steel, and timber coursework.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The Special Projects Group of KPFF is growing and looking for an ambitious and initiative-driven entry-level Structural Engineer to strengthen our dynamic team in Tacoma, WA. You will be at the heart of downtown, working on a diverse range of civil, industrial, port developments, marine waterfront, ferry terminals, shipyards, floating structures, and transportation design build infrastructure projects. What You'll Be Doing
Structural Design and Development

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.

Compensation

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 0-3 years of experience is $87,000-$105,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. During the interview process, we'll provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
