Job summary

Entegee is seeking a Structural Engineer with a Civil Engineering background to join our team in the US Northwest. The role requires PE licensure, a BS in Civil Eng with a structural emphasis, an MS is preferred, and 4+ years of experience with IBC/ASCE-7/ACI/AISC.

The candidate will lead small teams, perform conventional structural analysis and design, and apply wind and seismic provisions, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met across steel and concrete projects in

  • Requires 4+ years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
  • Must provide internet service at home to meet project requirements.
  • Experience leading small teams.
  • Must be located in USA Northwest Region (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA, WY) or Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills, not hesitating to reach out to others for guidance or confirmation when questions arise
  • Possess knowledge of principles and practices of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic), including ability to apply required provisions of the building code
  • Perform calculation checking of other engineers' work
  • Take complete ownership of your portion of the structural scope, reliably working to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
  • Clearly define your own scope and start to develop your ability to forecast level of effort needed to complete that scope
  • Be ready to identify scope change and elevate it to your Structural Lead
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and/or mentorship to designers/drafters and less experienced engineers
  • Be proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline; embrace emerging technologies

Job description
