Job summary

Kingdom Development Group Incorporated is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to perform preliminary and detailed analysis, develop design options for concrete and steel, and review documents for multidisciplinary conflicts.

You will coordinate a structural design team through DD and CD phases, participate in code compliance reviews with authorities, and mentor junior staff while maintaining project schedules. Proficiency in Revit, RAM, and RISA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, ABET accredited program.
• Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, ABET accreditation preferred.
• Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering (Structural emphasis).
• Experience with Revit, RAM, and RISA is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary and detailed civil / structural analysis, design, evaluations, and provide options and recommendations for concrete and steel.
• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Assist in development of design criteria, report prep, QA/QC reviews.
• Coordinate the structural design team through development and contract phases.
• Participate in code compliance meetings with authorities.
• Lead design development and contract document sessions with PM and other disciplines.
• Draft and coordinate production of reports ensuring technical consistency.
• Manage workload through DD and CD phases to meet schedules.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers; provide QA input as needed.
• Coordinate addenda, RFI responses, and change orders during construction.

Job description

• Perform preliminary and detailed civil / structural analysis, design, evaluations, and design options and recommendations for concrete and steel
• Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
• Assist in development of design criteria, report preparation, and quality assurance and control reviews of related designs
• Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
• Conduct design development and contract document work sessions both in the office and at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
• Organize, draft and coordinate production of various reports to ensure technical consistency and inclusion of appropriate documentation
• Take responsibility for coordinating workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule
• Supervise and coach other engineering and support staff, including mentoring of junior engineers, and provision of quality assurance review or input where required.
• During construction, coordinate and assist with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate changes into the project documents
• Perform other duties as needed
• Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, RAM, RISA) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering (Structural emphasis) from an ABET accredited program
