Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a structural engineering professional in the United States with an Engineer in Training certification to work across disciplines and lifecycle stages of projects.

In this role, you will develop calculations, plans, and specifications, support construction administration, and collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams. Travel may be required for site visits and client meetings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of structural engineering project experience.
• Engineer in Training certification.
• Strong problem-solving skills with initiative.
• Working knowledge of USA National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Understanding of and experience with Revit software.
• Effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools.
• Perform technical work with senior review.
• Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors, throughout the project life cycle, and have clear and concise, oral and written communication skills.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Assist with Construction Administration duties, including completing field observation reports, responding to RFIs, submittal reviews.
• Traveling, as needed, for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits.
