Job summary

Energis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Co Antrim. The role offers leadership from concept through to completion, mentoring junior engineers and driving project delivery.

You will work across diverse structural projects, perform calculations, prepare drawings, liaise with clients and ensure compliance with codes and standards. Chartered Engineer status and five years' experience are required; the position includes a £55k salary plus bonus and

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer status.
• Minimum of five years' structural engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, codes and standards.
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proficient in structural analysis software.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Produce structural calculations and designs in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations and construction documentation.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Liaise with clients, architects, designers and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Review shop drawings and resolve technical queries during manufacture and construction.
• Prepare and review technical reports and engineering proposals.
• Identify opportunities for new business and support project proposals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and documentation.

On behalf of our client in Co Antrim, Energis is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to lead projects from concept through to completion while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the ongoing growth of the business.

Working across a diverse range of structural projects, including new and existing GRP products throughout Europe, you will play a key role in design, project management, client liaison and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations and construction documentation.

Criteria

• Degree qualified engineer, with Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer status.
• Minimum of five years' structural engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, relevant design codes and industry standards.
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and leadership abilities.
