Job summary

DC Engineering in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a Structural Engineer with 2+ years of experience. The role supports design and documentation of structural systems and requires the EIT certification or PE license as a preferred credential.

You will work with Project Engineers and Managers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to deliver innovative projects while developing hands-on experience in a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of structural engineering experience (internships included).
  • Experience designing and detailing structural systems for steel, concrete (post-tensioning preferred), masonry, and wood structures.
  • Ability to manage project budgets and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with team members, consultants, and clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Engineers and Project Managers in design and documentation of structural systems.
  • Contribute to innovative and impactful projects as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Collaborate with consultants and clients to ensure project success.
  • Utilize BIM and Revit for modeling and detailing.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant structural engineering experience (internships included)

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge of BIM and experience with Revit (preferred)
  • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Suite, Bentley Suite, RISA, Adapt PT, Enercalc, Hilti Profis, etc.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (Word, Outlook, time-reporting tools)
  • Some travel throughout the Midwest would be required.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
