Job summary

Selectek is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Atlanta, GA. You will lead structural engineering efforts, scope projects, coordinate with other disciplines, and resolve field issues while delivering conceptual designs.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a BSCE, professional licensure, and familiarity with RAM, ENERCALC, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam. You will mentor junior engineers and prepare contract documents that align with schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• BSCE in Structural Engineering or equivalent degree.
• At least 5 years of related work experience.
• Licensed Engineer (state licensure) required.
• NCEES Accredited is preferred.
• Strong skills with structural analysis software and document tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineer responsible for scoping projects and coordinating with other disciplines.
• Resolve complex problems requiring creative solutions in steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and light-gage steel.
• Provide technical design support to the team and mentor less experienced engineers.

Senior Structural Engineer

Experience Required: 5+ Years Location: Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities

• Acts as the lead structural engineer responsible for: scoping the project, coordinating with other disciplines, obtaining necessary information to execute the work, and preparing conceptual designs, corrections to field issues, as well as completing designs
• Requires an experienced, competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require creative solutions in structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, wood, and light-gage steel designs
• Provide technical design support to the design team, including overseeing and assisting with the development of less experienced engineers
• Responsible for the preparation and review of Contract Documents in compliance with the project program, building design, schedule, and budget

Required Qualifications

• BSCE in Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university
• 5+ years related work experience
• Licensed Engineer (at least one state) (Required)
• NCEES Accredited (preferred)
• Strong computer skills in structural analysis programs, e.g., RAM software suite, ENERCALC, AutoCAD, Revit, and competency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
