Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to design and analyze structures for high-rise, commercial, and cultural projects in the Chicago area. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to produce calculations, drawings, and specs, while supporting site visits and RFIs.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, advancing design tools, and contributing to project delivery with a strong focus on collaboration and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• EIT required; PE or SE preferred or in progress.

What you'll be doing:

Design and analyze structures for commercial, cultural, and high-rise projects

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants

What we're looking for:

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Skilled in steel, concrete, and post-tensioned design

Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, or RISA

EIT required; PE or SE preferred or in progress

Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills
