TYG has partnered with top engineering firms in Boston to bring exciting opportunities for career growth and diverse project experience. We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team and work on a variety of building restoration projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis for restoration, renovation, and repair of existing buildings.
• Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to address structural deficiencies, deterioration, or damage.
• Prepare detailed assessment reports, repair strategies, drawings, and construction documents for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and durable restoration solutions.
• Conduct condition assessments, site inspections, and forensic investigations.
• Utilize advanced structural analysis software and modeling tools to support evaluation and restoration efforts.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (MS preferred).
• E.I.T. certification required, PE license preferred.
• 4 to 7 years of structural engineering experience, preferably with a focus on building restoration, rehabilitation, or forensic work.
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems.
• Proficiency in structural engineering software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, RISA, RAM, Revit, AutoCAD).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple restoration projects efficiently.
