Job summary

Role Description

The Structural Engineer will work on-site in Bossier City, LA in a full-time capacity, supporting the design and analysis of building and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing structural calculations, conducting structural analysis for various materials and systems, and preparing engineering reports and documentation. The role involves creating and modifying drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) tools, coordinating with project managers, architects, and contractors, and participating in project meetings and reviews. The Structural Engineer will also assist with code compliance checks, field observations, and resolving technical issues during construction.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in performing engineering Calculations and Structural Analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, and other common construction materials.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for preparing plans, details, and models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; EIT certification preferred, PE licensure or intent to obtain licensure is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and design guidelines (e.g., IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and clients on-site.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Prior experience in structural design or consulting engineering is beneficial.
