This role as a structural engineer is fully remote and hands-on, providing the opportunity to work at various job sites daily. If you're tired of the office and crave fresh air, this is the perfect fit for you.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Inspect buildings for damage such as roofs, foundations, and water issues.
  • Write detailed reports explaining your findings during inspections.
  • Be helpful and friendly to colleagues and clients.
  • Present findings in court when necessary, with support from the company's legal team.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and training; the company will cover the costs.
  • Occasionally work extra hours during busy periods.
  • Travel to various locations for work, including overnight stays when required.

What You Need for this Position

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in your state.
  • Ability to obtain a specific engineering certification within 90 days if not already certified.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferably, 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis or related areas.
  • Valid driver's license with a good record.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and Microsoft Word.
  • Familiarity with basic computer tools like Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
  • Strong customer service skills, teamwork, and a service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote (home office) setting.
  • Reliable home internet connection and cell phone service.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical examination.
