We have an immediate need for a Structural Engineer, with a minimum of 4 years of experience, in the Alexandria/Springfield, VA area.
Job duties
Supervise structural designers and less experienced structural engineers
Project management under the supervision of a Principal
Communicate and coordinate with architects and engineers of other disciplines
Supervise and perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of building materials using various building codes and standards (i.e. IBC, IEBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, UFC)
Participate in field surveys and document existing conditions
Review and evaluate existing building structural systems
Write technical reports
Oversee production of Contract Documents (i.e. Structural Drawings and Specifications)
Oversee the review construction submittals, participate in construction observation, and respond to contractor inquiries
Required

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (BAE), or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering (BSAE), or equivalent, with coursework specialized towards structural engineering
