Jobot is seeking a Structural Drafter in Tulsa, OK to turn engineer markups into buildable Revit drawings. This junior-to-mid level role focuses on producing and modifying structural drawings and construction documents under supervision.

The team also works with select industrial clients, including piping and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as a specialized department focused on delegated steel connection design.

Job Details

This is a junior-to-mid-level drafting role, ideal for someone with technical school or drafting education and approximately 1–3+ years of professional AEC/structural drafting experience.

You do not need to be a structural engineer or make engineering decisions. However, you should be able to read structural drawings and engineer markups, understand basic structural concepts, and work through routine drafting and modeling problems without needing constant direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and modify structural drawings and models using Revit.
• Develop plans, sections, elevations, details, and construction documents.
• Translate engineer markups and design information into accurate Revit models and drawings.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Coordinate drafting and modeling work with structural engineers.
• Make routine adjustments and resolve basic modeling or drafting issues independently.
• Follow established company drafting standards and project workflows.
• Assist with revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate structural drawings with related project information as needed.
• Continue developing knowledge of structural drafting practices and Revit workflows.

Requirements

• Technical school, drafting program, or comparable drafting education.
• 1–3+ years of professional AEC/structural drafting experience.
• Professional Revit experience.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and engineer markups.
• Basic understanding of building and structural concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Ability to solve routine drafting/modeling problems independently.
• Ability to work effectively with structural engineers and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience drafting structural building projects.
• Experience producing construction documents.
• Familiarity with structural plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Exposure to steel, concrete, or other structural systems.
• Experience working in a consulting engineering or architectural environment.
