Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation seeks a Structural Detailer to support the design and installation of industrial steel storage systems for large distribution centers. You will collaborate with the Structural Engineering team, prepare fabrication drawings, and develop BOMs for materials used in projects.

The role involves occasional site travel and a focus on cost-efficient detailing. Requirements include an Associate degree in structural design or equivalent, 5+ years of detailing

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical design or equivalent experience.
• Preferred 5+ years of structural steel detailing experience.
• Proficiency with Advance Steel, Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn the material handling business and assist across teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Structural Engineering team to review project designs, establish detailing requirements, and develop project schedules and milestone dates.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings and models using Advance Steel, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Collaborate with the Structural Engineering team to identify, evaluate, and resolve design and detailing issues.
• Develop steel erection drawings, deck layouts, and flooring plans to support field installation activities.
• Generate bills of material (BOMs) for fabricated steel, decking, and flooring components to support purchasing and fabrication operations.
• Assist Structural Engineers with the layout, detailing, and design of new structures and modifications to existing storage systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Conduct occasional travel to project sites for field verification, coordination, and construction support.
• Evaluate project detailing solutions to optimize project efficiency, constructability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Review, optimize and document detailing procedures for efficiency, accuracy and cost effectiveness

Job Summary

Involved with projects from the quote stage to final engineering. Typical projects include the design and installation of industrial steel storage rack, structural steel platforms, conveyor support structures, shelving, elevated walkways, and custom designed products in large distribution centers. • Ability to learn the material handling business and assist across teams and divisions within Daifuku
• Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results oriented environment
