Structural Designer

President Container Group, a leading independent manufacturer of Corrugated Packaging (Sheets, Boxes, Trays, Partitions, Display Units, etc.), is seeking a full-time ENTRY LEVEL OR EXPERIENCED Structural Designer for its corporate location in Moonachie, NJ.

Job Summary:

We are searching for an innovative Structural Designer to become part of our product development team. In this role, you will conduct research, contribute to prototype design, and help us develop both product packaging and the necessary instructional artwork. The Structural Designer will work with Sales and Customer Service to create design solutions for corrugated point of purchase displays and packaging.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to create the best possible design solutions for customer needs.
2. Research user needs.
3. Prepare CAD drawings to ensure proper manufacturing and assembly.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve product design issues and concerns.
5. Maintain awareness of current design trends and influences.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 1 year of experience designing corrugated point of purchase displays and packaging.
2. Knowledge of Kongsberg cutting table.
3. Experience in the corrugated industry with a technical understanding of corrugated packaging design, cutting dies, industry machinery, and printing.
4. Experience with 3D modeling.
5. Experience with CAD software such as Artios.
6. Experience in Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. Ability to work in a team environment.
10. Ability to prioritize and multitask.
11. Positive and professional demeanor.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
