Actalent seeks a Structural Designer for our Houston team to prepare drawing packages compliant with building codes and safety standards. You will translate design requirements, perform calculations, and coordinate design criteria with engineering and production staff.

The role is 100% onsite in Houston, TX, contract to hire, with a 7 AM to 5 PM schedule. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, plus eligibility for benefits and company bonuses per policy.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in structural design for buildings, stairs, cable trays, and sheet metal.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D.
• Knowledge of ASTM, I-beam, oil and gas, NEC, NEMA, OSHA, and IEEE standards.
• 1-3+ years of experience with steel design/detailing.
• 1+ years of experience with AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D.
• Associates degree in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility on start and end times as long as 8 hours of work are completed each day. This is a 100% onsite position, working alongside a team of five other designers. You will be involved in managing 5-7 projects simultaneously, collaborating with teams in manufacturing, project management, and sales. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
